Tom Seguin, LIMHP
Tom creates a space for growth and change so clients can experience the power of the therapeutic process. He studied engineering early in his college career but quickly developed a passion for learning and understanding how people think. After earning his bachelor’s degree in psychology at Miami University in 2009, Tom enlisted in the Air Force. There, he saw how stressful situations including an intense work life, deployments, and frequent moves, paired with an absence of appropriate supports can lead to a variety of mental health issues like relationship problems, separation and divorce, problem behaviors in children, and substance abuse. Tom decided to become a psychotherapist partly in order to help people who were feeling overwhelmed like his military colleagues. Since earning his master’s degree in 2017 from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, Tom has been helping parents and families develop strategies to alleviate problems related to children’s behaviors, school issues, co-parenting, and foster care. He also works with couples and individuals to help navigate relationship problems, divorce, and other individual mental health needs. Tom’s clients often report that he connects to them well and understands their concerns on a deep level.
