    Self Esteem Building

    Shelby Henderson, PLMHP

Feelings of being unworthy and constantly comparing yourself to someone else can make you question your value. Your relationships with peers, significant others, family members, and colleagues suffer because you are constantly wondering if you measure up to who they want you to be. You avoid taking a chance on yourself because you believe you could never be good enough to accomplish that dream of yours. This feeling of never being enough leads you to avoid social events or if you do go, you cannot enjoy your time as you worry about what other people are thinking about you. Suddenly you find that life has little meaning because you will never amount to anything and no one could possibly be interested in having any type of relationship with you. This feeling of depression consumes you on a daily basis.

This struggle of never being worthy has caused great pain in many people’s lives. So many others have never reached their full potential because they were too afraid of failing. It is okay to be scared to take a risk, but when that feeling is caused by the belief that you will never be able to accomplish your dreams, it is time to make some changes in your life. Struggling with the belief of being worthless has drained the hope and dreams of many in the past, but that does not mean it has to be the same way for you.

Those who have worked with me have learned how to overcome their negative beliefs about themselves in order to create more accurate, positive beliefs that serve to help them obtain their goals. When working with me, we can discover those hidden thoughts that cause you to avoid life and taking healthy risks. I believe that by focusing on your strengths, creating relationships that are fulfilling, and identifying behaviors that can lead to the best version of yourself, we can eliminate those thoughts and emotions that make you feel less than you are. By the end of our relationship, it is my hope that you will truly believe that you are enough.

If you are ready to feel whole again and create the life you have always dreamed of, call me today at 402-325-0117 x13 to learn more or schedule an appointment, or book an appointment online!
