I am a clinical social worker and a licensed mental health therapist. I completed my graduate studies at the University Of Denver Graduate School Of Social Work in 2014. I spent much of my time in my social work studies working with diverse clientele in community settings. I spent several years working with individuals in a healthcare setting, some of which included individuals experiencing traumatic events, and those in hospice care. I also have experience in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, family crisis, and grief.
I enjoy working with clients of all ages, however I am especially passionate about women’s health. Specifically, women experiencing pregnancy, post-partum depression, and perinatal loss. I believe in using a holistic approach, focusing on physical, mental, spiritual and social health needs. I operate from a strengths based approach, utilizing elements of CBT and attachment informed treatment.
In today’s world the pressures of work, family life, and social relationships can feel overwhelming and difficult to navigate. Often people feel pressure to “have it all together” and “be okay”. These social pressures can make it hard to reach out for help when we need it. Therapy can help you move towards making the changes you want to see in your life. I am a strong advocate for self-care and it is important to take care of yourself so you can be the best version of you. I feel it is importance to recognize each individual’s unique experiences, and develop goals based on you being the expert of your own life. My goal is to create a space where clients feel safe and that they can be open without fearing judgment.
Reaching out can be a start in working towards change, call and schedule an appointment today. I have immediate openings and evening appointments available. I also offer online scheduling for your convenience.
