    Kaitlyn Harper, PLMHP;

    Kaitie Harper, PLMHP: Parent-Child Interactive Therapy (PCIT) can help you gain the confidence to manage your child’s problematic behaviors, big or small.  Getting therapy for your child in PCIT allows you to remain in control and form healthy boundaries with your child while increasing their ability to express their emotions appropriately.  Kaitlyn Harper received training in IoWa-PCIT, and additional training in assessment of attachment. She has experience with difficult behaviors such as aggression, tantruming and refusing direction in homes and schools.  She has worked at a day treatment facility for children with moderate to severe problematic behaviors. Kaitlyn states, “I have assisted parents in gaining confidence in their parenting skills while improving children’s positive behaviors. I work to understand each family’s unique situation and modify these skills to work best for each parent-child relationship.”  Using PCIT, parents can expect that tantrums and meltdowns become less frequent and shorter as their child acquires skills to cope with their emotions.  Daily routines such as getting to school, going to bed, or getting through meals become easier as your relationship with your child builds trusting, positive boundaries.  If you feel PCIT would be helpful for your family call me today at 402-325-0117 x11 to find learn more or schedule an appointment, or book an appointment online!

    Anita Lovell, LIMHP

    Anita Lovell, LIMHP: My clinical area of interest and training is in behavioral pediatric counseling and cognitive behavioral therapy.  I started my counselor career with Behavioral Health Solutions, P.C. in Nebraska City, NE in 2007 during my internship with Doane College.  I received my Master of Arts in Counseling Degree in 2008 and continued practicing in Nebraska City until 2011.  I joined AdultSpan Counseling team in 2012 in order to use my training to promote positive mental and behavioral health to children and their families.

    I use skills I have learned from a treatment approach called Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) to teach caregivers positive parenting and relationship-enhancing skills.  PCIT also teaches behavior management strategies to manage disruptive behavior, aggression, and it promotes adhering to instructions and family home rules.  This model has been extremely effective in my experience to assist families with every-day, real-life struggles. If you feel PCIT would be helpful for your family call me today at 402-325-0117 x3 to find learn more or schedule an appointment.
